After spending many years in the corporate and then charitable sectors I set about founding Elysian Roots in March 2017. As a mushroom enthusiast, a mother of two daughters and an avid day dreamer, I had been seriously scratching my head on how to combine my expertise and skills with my ambition to be at service to my family and community. Whilst spreading a positive and fun way to promote information about the fungi world. This is why I aim to share educational materials, promote mushrooms products, help set-up urban mushroom farms and document my journey along the way.
In time, I hope it will generate more than just curiosity about this ancient yet mysterious organism. I anticipate it could grow into a much deeper appreciation and understanding on how Earth’s ecosystems and ours are intrinsically related. It could in fact reignite a kind and caring relationship for food and its effect on our health and environment.
